Introduction of Same-Sex Marriages in Northern Ireland
Legislation was introduced in Northern Ireland (January 2020) allowing for civil same sex marriage ceremonies to be conducted in Northern Ireland.
Further to this, other legislative changes are being introduced from September 2020 to allow for religious same sex marriages also to be carried out in Northern Ireland.
The legislation requires that churches must designate if they wish to conduct same sex marriages or to remain registered only for opposite sex marriage.
On Tuesday 21st July 2020 Shiloh Christian Fellowship has returned our registration form to say we will ONLY conduct opposite sex marriage in accordance with the word of God and marriage as ordained by God.
We believe any 'marriage' ceremony other than opposite sex marriage is against the will of God and contrary to His word.
Shiloh Christian Fellowship WILL NOT conduct same sex marriages.
