Membership & Baptism
Membership Course
We welcome everyone to join us in our public meetings and activities.
For those who may be interested, we aim to run regular 'Membership Courses' for those who would like to understand more about the beliefs and values of Shiloh Christian Fellowship or who may be interested in becoming a member of Shiloh as their "home" church.
The course normally involves 6 topics for study & opportunities to discuss these with others
- How membership of a local Church strengthens the witness of the gospel, while strengthening believers in their faith
- How membership of a local Church demonstrates a believer's commitment & love
- How membership of a local Church demonstrates a believer's commitment to service & ministry
- How membership of a local Church demonstrates a believer's responsibility & accountability
- How membership of a local Church must not be from a selfish perspective, but a selfless, sacrificial willingness to love & serve God & others
- How membership of a local Church should be about 'What can I do for the Church, rather than what can the Church do for me'
Baptism
We offer the opportunity of baptism to anyone who has expressed their trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord.
It is not necessary to be a member or to become a member of Shiloh to get baptised, but it is important to take time to discuss with a member of the leadership team what baptism means and why it matters.
**Although we accept the liberty of conscience of others to do so, we DO NOT endorse or conduct infant baptisms.
