New Deacons Appointed At Shiloh
At yesterday morning's service in Shiloh three new deacons were officially installed.
During the communion service the three deacons, chosen after prayerful consideration and a secret vote, were presented to the Fellowship, anointed with oil and prayed for.
Shiloh has never had deacons before and this was a new thing being done.
The three nominated persons are:
Billy Morrison: Married to Wilma they have one son and two grandsons. Billy first gave his life to the Lord as a child but as he grew up he drifted away from his walk. 34yrs ago he rededicated his life to the Lord and has been worshipping and serving in Shiloh since 2011.
Jimmy Anderson: Married to Sandra they have 2 daughters, one son and 10 combined grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jimmy came along to Shiloh in 2004 and gave his life to Jesus. He has been involved in many aspects of Fellowship life and various ministries over these years.
Linda Neill: Married to Billy they have 2 daughters, one son and 6 grandchildren. Linda was saved at 13yrs old but also drifted away from walking with the Lord. In 2011 she and her husband attended Shiloh where they both committed their lives unto the Lord. Linda has been and is currently involved in numerous services and ministries in Shiloh.
Mark Tatty Gordon spoke about the role and responsibility of deacons and annointed the three with oil (symbolic of the Holy Spirit) asking the Lord to enable, equip and empower them for the service they have been called in to.
Others from the Fellowship were invited to offer public prayers for the new deacons.
