Thanksgiving for Bailie Vance
This afternoon the first of this year’s Thanksgiving Services took place at Shiloh.
The service, much like a Christening but without pouring water on the child, was for Bailie Vance, son of Chloe and Tyler.
The guardians (godparents) were Courtney and David.
Tatty welcomed everyone along and explained the purpose of the service.
Tyler and Chloe had chosen bespoke music for the occasion while Tatty introduced the hymn ‘How Great Thou Art.’
Reading from Psalm 128, Tatty spoke of God’s blessing on those who love and obey God.
He added it was important that little Bailie get to know God at a young age so that he might love and obey the Lord and experience His blessings throughout his life.
Once again a Baby’s New Testament was given as a gift for Bailie as a simple reminder of the event.
The service concluded with a second piece of music chosen by Bailie’s parents.
Tatty finished by asking God’s blessing on all who had attended.
