Thanksgiving Service (Dylan Brown)
Shiloh Fellowship held another Thanksgiving Service this afternoon, this time giving thanks to God for the wonderful gift of little Dylan Brown to parents Robert and Gemma.
Conducting the service, Mark Tatty Gordon welcomed the guests and explained the purpose of the service is to thank the Lord for not giving up on the world. He said every child born into this world is proof God has not given up on us.
He spoke on John 3v16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life," saying Jesus is proof of God's love for mankind.
He told the gathered visitors that "God loves us so much he has provided a way for us to be saved from sin and its eternal consequences, and that way is through Jesus, who loved us and gave himself for us.
Tatty said, "If you confess your sin (agree with God that you are a sinner) turn from your sin and sinful ways and trust in Jesus alone, you shall be saved and have everlasting life." Two proofs of God's love are evident today:
1) Jesus who died in our place
2) Little Dylan who proves God hasn't given up on us.
The service ended with God's blessing on little Dylan, his parents Robert and Gemma and also on the 'guardians' (godparents) Chelsea, Gary and Mark.
